Saint Louis is a city located on the north coast of Senegal. It is known for its colonial architecture. The old town is located on N'Dar Island in the Senegal River. The island is connected to the mainland by the Faidherbe bridge from 1865, designed by Gustave Eiffel. Its architectural and cultural heritage is such that Saint Louis of Senegal is still today, the city symbol of elegance and refinement. Less than an hour from its city center are two natural parks classified as World Heritage by UNESCO: the Djoudj bird park (3rd ornithological reserve in the world) and the Barbary language park on the banks of the 'ocean. Located at the north end of the Senegalese coast, it is the coolest city in the country; an almost ideal climate! Saint Louis is also famous for "Thieboudiènne", a national dish of rice and fish.

The desert of Loumpoul- ADS The magnificent Loumpoul desert is located in the northwest of the country, halfway between Dakar and Saint Louis, in the Louga region, less than 10 km from the ocean. Its area is 18 km2. The dunes can reach a height of 40 to 50 meters. The sand in ocher and red tones is very fine, it is a taste of the deserts of Mauritania. Different circuits are possible, at your convenience and depending on the time you have.
